The GraceVine

Thanks for subscribing to the Grace Church GraceVine! Below you will find a few highlights of what’s happening in the life of our Church Family. For more information, feel free to reply to this email, visit us online, or talk to someone personally. We hope to see you at Grace this weekend!

Join a Community Group!
Being a part of a Community Group is a great way to make meaningful connections with others at Grace. Our Community Groups are open for anyone to attend and take place at a variety of times and locations. To explore the possibilities for you, pick up a sheet at the Information Booth in the lobby or visit our website - and let us know if we can help you plug in!

Membership Class - This Sunday
“All About Grace” is a two-week class designed to introduce you to the purpose, strategy, and structure of Grace Church.  The class, led by Tom Lewellen and Paul Cronenwett, will be held on two consecutive Sundays, October 14 & 21 from 9:30am – 11:00am (during the first worship gathering) in the Starting Line Room. Feel free to join us this Sunday!

Family Worship Weekend - November 4
One of our prayerful desires is that God would use Grace Church to help families learn to worship together. One small way we hope to encourage this will happen on the weekend of Sunday, November 4. During our worship services, we are encouraging families with children age 4 and above to join us in the auditorium and sit together as a family.  These services will be oriented toward adults with an awareness that children are with us. We hope you can join us for this special event!

Community Group Blanket Drive
One of our Community Groups is collecting new or gently used clean blankets, comforters, sleeping bags and bath towels to benefit the homeless in the metro Detroit area.  (Additional items for donations: hats, gloves, scarves, socks, travel size toiletries, individual size bottled water and individual snacks.)  Donations are being collected through Sunday, October 28. Please contact Joanne Hicks at 248.933.3122 to have your donations picked up, or drop them off in the box in the middle closet in the lobby. Thanks!

Community Impact Day Sign Up
Community Impact Day is a great chance to serve alongside others at Grace while helping families who are in need in our community.  Our Home Missions Team has arranged a variety of projects - most of which are designed with the whole family in mind (children of all ages). We hope you can join us on Saturday, November 3 in the morning or the afternoon (sign up or one or the other). Last year we provided approximately 80 food boxes to those in need on that one day. For a list of needed items and to sign up, please stop by the Information Booth in the Lobby or visit our website here. Also, thank you for your donations in anticipation of this event.  We are still in need of juice, peanut butter, pasta and pasta sauce.
