Super Bowl Sub SaleCome prepared to chow down on Sunday, February 7!  Ore Creek will be selling delicious homemade subs to raise funds for their trip to Rancho Sordo Mudo April 4-11, 2010.  They will be selling individual subs for just $4 or a great deal of 3 for $10.  A great lunch or game time snack and it will be supporting our brothers and sisters at Ore Creek Church.

Marriage Unplugged
A marriage retreat hosted by the Highland Grace Fellowship is scheduled for February 26 & 27.  On this last weekend in February we will host a mini-marriage retreat for all married couples designed to help us think about how we can strengthen our marriage relationships.  See our flier/registration form for more details or ask your small group leader for more information.

Buddy Break
our new ministry to special needs children (VIP's) had a very successful first event here at White Lake.  Our next 'Buddy Break' will be here on Saturday, February 13.  Please keep this new ministry in your prayers.  For more information call Steve Lobb at 248/ 363-0254.

Wanted for Buddy Break We are looking to assemble Set-Up and Clean-Up crews.  Set-Up will be done on Thursday or Friday evening for Saturday's 10:00 a.m. meeting (once monthly).  Rooms will then be reassembled and ready for Sunday morning services after BB completes for the day, around 1:00 or 2:00 p.m.  We are hoping to have enough help that no one works more than 2 or 3 times a year. For more information contact Karen Lively at 248/ 698-3667.

Census Workers
Part-Time workers are being hired by the US Census Authority for work this year paying $16.50 per hour.  They are hiring peole to work in the communities in their own area.  For details you may pick up a brochure at the Welcome Booth or go on-line for information at www.2020censusjobs.gov or call 866-861-2010.

Meal Ministry This ministry provides church families with meals during times of need.  This is a very practical way to care for people at demanding times of life.  Adding your name to our team means that you would be contacted only a few times throughout the year.  The commitment is small but the rewards are great.  Please contact Jan Petsch at 248/ 685-2513 or mealministry@comcast.net for furthur information.

Small Groups—Commerce

We are in the middle of a key shift here at Grace Church—Commerce. Our desire is to help each other build natural, authentic, meaningful Christian friendships. This emphasis is good for us and it is challenging us to re-evaluate how we use our time in relationships. Since we will not be gathering this year in the same way as past years, feel free to think creatively about how to love and serve each other. Why not…

Seize the time typically set aside for “small group night” to have a few people over for dinner and conversation.

Connect with one of our men’s or women’s bible discussion groups.

Invite a friend to meet with you throughout the winter to think together about how our Sunday morning teaching relates to your daily lives.

Pursue a friend to become your “spiritual growth partner” in 2010. Our church family has dozens of booklets and tools available free of charge that are designed to help kick start conversations like these. For a full list email Sue a: shaack@gracechurchinfo.net.

Join a ministry team that will allow you to use your talents to serve our church family: Children’s, Student’s, Worship, Usher’s, Adopt-a-Road, and Angel Food.
