Upper Peninsula Family Mission Trip 2020

One of the best ways to "train a child up in the way he should go" is to have them observe families demonstrating their love for God and others as they serve. Serving together strengthens families and lays down a tangible example of a godly lifestyle. One of the ways we seek to come alongside the family in this way is through our Family Mission Trip to Upper Peninsula Bible Camp (UPBC). This is a week-long mission experience in August which involves taking a group of our families to serve underprivileged children in the UPBC community and providing an all-day experience similar to a Vacation Bible School. Children from our church who are Kindergarten age through 8th Grade are enrolled in the camp and taught how to sacrificially serve the other children who come. Family members who are high school age and above staff each of the roles necessary to run the camp by forming teaching, craft, games, shepherd, music and drama teams. Training meetings begin in March and are critical for the planning and preparation of the trip.

This year our UPBC trip cost is $80 per person which includes lodging and meals for the week. Each person will be responsible for their own transportation but many people carpool. While the value associated with the mission trip exceeds any monetary price, it is our hope that everyone willing to serve is able to come. Please do not let the cost prevent you some serving with us on this trip. If you have any concerns please add them to your application.

The dates for the trip are August 15-22. If you would like to apply for this amazing opportunity, just hit the link below. Deadline to apply is March 1, 2020.
